Well when I'm seeing things like "This place is too slow I'm outta here" it really discourages me. I'm fine with a kinda slow forum with members who at least come by and chat, but if people are going to just start leaving because the place isn't super active then the place is just going to die, plain and simple.

I'm happy keeping this place a small community, but if the small community doesn't want to contribute anything then there might as well be NO community.

I'll stick with it. I just don't know what to post that often. I'm sorry. :<

Shocked Vae didn't ditch this place and perma-camp back at FAF to be honest.

Husband bought GTA at the wrong Gamestop, so we had to take the bus across town to get my preorder one.

Also, why would I ditch it? Lol.

This forum actually is more active than Weasyl's, and that's pretty fucking sad considering that Weasyl has like an entire year or so and damn near 5000 members on us. But honestly I'm holding out hope for Weasyl because I got to talk to one of the guys working on it and the way he put it, Weasyl still thinks it has a dog in this race and is planning new features, a new wave of promotion and shit to try to win back some of the support and trust it lost with those initial blunders. Honestly as long as the main site amounts to something, I could be okay with the forums biting the dust. Sometimes I think the best thing about InkBunny is that it has no forums. All the interaction and community has to be through the site proper, and it functions similarly enough to Facebook that there truly can not be any "drama" that isn't because all parties want it on some level. FA isn't just a terrible community with a terrible forum, it's a terrible site.

I'm... decently active on the mainsite of Weasyl. I submit just about as much as I actually draw, anyway.

But the forums seemed dead. Like, DEAD dead.
It reminded me of Sheezyart's or Fanart Central's forums.

Which is sad, considering how new it is.

They were very active initially. I think being so obsessed with "quality control" before they even had that much traffic did a lot to kill what traffic there was though. On the one hand you had people hoping it would prove to be an alternative to FAF and supporting it for that reason alone, and then it seemed like it might prove to be even more draconian, on top of the rhetoric that came across as basically "hey furries, thanks for all the support, but this ain't gonna be your site in the long run so love it or leave it". I dunno though, I'd like to believe they still have time to turn things around and learn from their mistakes. FA/F ain't getting any better.

Speaking of which I guess Gibby and Machine have been banned for... fucking song lyrics.

And like the pussified idiots they probably are, they'll no doubt crawl back to FAF like a crackwhore desperate for another hit the minute their bans expire. And most will keep doing that until something proves to not only be better, but poised to stay better in the long run.

Coffecup was pretty pissed about that. Needless to say, no one but us agree. And I think I was the only one openly on his side. But I think we speak enough about FAF.

I'm losing it over what games I want to get. Everyone is fiending over GTA V. I do want that game. It's got my attention, but I'm not enough of a GTA fan, I think to put it above other stuff coming. Stuff coming soon.

Speaking of FAF and its corrupt dictatorship, I don't think I've ever really gotten in trouble there. Despite getting into more than a few spats with Arshes over why an artist should not charge an arm and a leg and a dick up the ass for a quick sketch.
I got warned for encouraging people to attack a site (which is justified), and by Ben (I think that was his name) for mentioning the Sims in a WoW thread, but he was de-modded anyway.

I'm not defending the site. It's just kind of weird.

Shantae is essentially the Metroid Nintendo REFUSES to make (among other abandoned franchises). Because unlike modern Nintendo, WayForward CARES about it's fans and games.

I personally think the Metroid 2 Remake looks really good, as far as "games Nintendo refuses to make". I hope it doesn't get shut down. I think some of the people who made Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission commented that they'd love to adopt it. Or it was the Prime people. I forget.

Regarding the slowness of this forum, I guess it's only as good as its admins. I really should start posting more but I am THE lurker, and I'm getting a lot more hours at work now even though I'm already full time. I will make the effort though.
