Random thought: I just realized that I wrote my first piece of fanfiction at 4-years-old.
It was fic of the Guardian Legend, as interpreted by my dumb little kid brain.
It was written out on notebook paper and stapled together. It's still at my parents' house, somewhere.

I just played that and Zanac yesterday.

I've never really played Zanac.

I might have tried it out on emulator like once.

But it's not TGL.

Same company and similar mechanics though. Both of them connect to the Aleste universe in some fashion.

They are similar, and from the same universe, but I guess I just really like the "hybrid" feel of Guardian Legend.
I think that's what makes it unique.

So Guardian Legend without the walking levels is like... spaghettios without meatballs. :v

I'm starting to feel like I've recovered from my operation now. My mouth is still painful, but swallowing is more or less painless, although there are still scabs on my tonsil bed.

So, sweet. This is like the first thing I've been looking forward too since my return. Some friends and I are planning a camping trip to Zion this coming spring/summer but its themed. Were going out there in pre-WWI style gear down to the clothes we wear and the only things allowed that are modern are necessities. I know you're allowed to bring guns into national parks, so were probably going in armed as well for wildlife with old weapons. But yeah, its full gear with everything so it'll be like a reenactment too. Im excited.

So nerdy yet so cool at the same time.

Oh nonono. That's not sexualization. Not at all. The whole game is evil patriarchy piggish trash because the game has boobs in it. And I support the domination of women because I was playing it quietly at a table with my friends.

I can't believe I actually had this argument with that clown. I'm a perv, but I've got standards. I don't go around buying games just because some chick is a mess of circles and ovals. If I were like that, I'd be playing trash like DOA Volleyball, Rumble Roses, and Scarlet Blade.
In fact, I DID try Scarlet Blade (it was free) just to see if maybe there was something beyond. I quit after 15 minutes not only because I was bored out of my mind with the most linear RPG that put Final Fantasy to shame, but because it made me uncomfortable playing a game where you don't even have the option to play as a dude...or have a full set of clothes.

I can't even take gender issues in entertainment seriously anymore. The buzzwords are so watered down they don't even mean anything anymore. Jim fucking Sterling, once my idol, thinks THIS is sexist!!
