I wonder if people like that, who ostensibly are left-wing, realize they have the same mindset/tactics as their right-wing counterparts. Do they attack the very real, systematic sexism in the corporate world? Of course not, because that's their livelihood. Do they attack sexism in politics? Not unless it's from an opposing party, or unless they're so fringe that they basically have no stake in the outcomes of political movements. For all intents and purposes they're mainstreamed, domesticated and as dependent on the system as it is on them and their (real or perceived) lot in life. They won't even attack old media because, again, that'd be biting the hand that feeds them. Games, they feel, are fair game because even it's a quixotic campaign to wage, no one takes the medium seriously enough that there'd be much backlash at all in trying to censor it, and if they did succeed in whatever they want to accomplish, hey, it'd only be at the expense of "losers with no lives" and "nerd" who create and play games. And they totally deserve it anyway because, you know, their kind are inferior, right?
